Alfons Frenk (WP/StB)

Education

Alfons Frenk holds a degree in Business Administration and is a certified tax consultant and auditor. Prior to obtaining his degree he trained as a wholesaler and export merchant.

Professional Career

Alfons Frenk worked for EDEKA for 30 years, 18 of which he spent in top management positions. From 1991 onward, Alfons Frenk was CFO and, from 2000, CEO of EDEKA Minden Hannover, while from 2003 through 2008 he held the post of CEO of EDEKA AG in Hamburg. During this period he was responsible for the two biggest-ever corporate transactions in German retail – the takeovers of Spar and of Netto and Plus.

Alfons Frenk has been an independent auditor and tax consultant since 2009.

Consulting Practice

Alfons Frenk has extensive experience in the consumer goods industry and in retail.

He supports projects in the sphere of mergers & acquisitions. Alfons Frenk's work also involves fulfilling advisory board mandates and coaching top management.
